New statewide California MLS coming.
By Don | January 30, 2009
In a meeting for Association brokers yesterday afternoon that Don attended, it was announced that the California Association of Realtors (CAR) formally voted last week to create a new statewide MLS.The new CALMLS is intended to provide leading edge technology for both Realtors and the public. The beta version is being developed currently and initial rollout is anticipated this summer. Currently, each local MLS runs their own MLS with third party vendors providing the software, so a lot of integration is going to have to take place.
However, it’s anticipated that over time, all California will be under the one MLS system.
