Ventura MLS listings – homes sold in June
By Leslie | July 15, 2009
Here are the June sold statistics for Ventura in our newly expanded 14 month format. The homes sold and condos sold data comes from Ventura MLS listings.
Welcome! Don and Leslie have been full time Realtors in Ventura County for over 30 years. It's been fun watching as "little" Victoria Avenue (and many other streets) have morphed into what they are today.
Just as our local communities have evolved, we've seriously considered for the past several years how we could someday "give back" and "finish well" - expressions that can mean a lot of things to different people.
As part of our research into opportunities for service, in early 2013 we contacted a Peace Corps recruiter who helped us start our journey. But our new path wasn't going to be as straight and easy as we thought! And so we began a transition into something completely different from the routines we've known for the past 30 years - and have begun a path that's leading into the exciting unknown. This will be our story!

We’re a week or so late in tracking the inventory levels this month but the trend we see in Oxnard is amazing. These numbers represent the total number of homes for sale (excluding the beaches and Santa Rosa Valley for Camarillo) on that given day. Ventura inventory levels have been relatively stable since dropping in the first quarter, and Camarillo has seen a steady decline but the inventory has virtually dried up in Oxnard. Conversations with agents with listings in Oxnard over the past couple of weeks indicate strong buyer demand with multiple offers over asking price not unusual. So here are the numbers!

ForeclosureListService.com has posted the number of new default listings, plus sale auctions and REOs, for June. The numbers are holding steady compared to first 5 months of 2009, but substantially higher than historical norms. Later this week we’ll post the sales and price statistics to see how these foreclosures are affecting price points.
